Step 2: Choose the most convenient way for you to get items to the store:

Need a pickup? (Link to Rugby Movers). A consignment manager will visit your home the day of the pick up to price your items and complete the consignment agreement with you.

Step 3: Sit back and relax! With 28,000 square feet of showroom space and 20,000 customers a month, your items will never be overlooked. We will split the selling price 50/50 and mail your consignor checks directly to you.

Pricing
Although we cannot determine starting prices from your photos, we can give you a general idea of whether or not it would sell well in our store. We will be able to set a starting price once we physically see each item. Each item will receive automatic markdowns that are indicated on the price tag. Upon inspection, we will determine if they best fit our weekly (35 day term) or daily (10 day term) markdown program. 

Commission
We will split the selling price with you 50/50. Each item is assigned a $9.99 handling fee that is added to the agreed starting price and is paid by the customer. Therefore, if your item sells for less than $9.99, you will not receive a payout.

Furniture Enhancement
We are able to make minor repairs to your furniture for an additional enhancement fee that will be deducted from your check. This is only recommended for pieces that could then sell for a significantly higher price.

Consignment Term
You are welcome to reclaim your items once they have been on the floor for 29 days, free of charge. There is a fee totaling 15% of the starting price to withdraw your items before the consignment term is over. Please note: you do not have to pick up your items at the end of the consignment term. We will continue to mark them down until they sell and always split the selling price 50/50 (except for items that sell for less than $9.99 as mentioned above).

 

Step 4: Follow up
Consignment checks go out automatically on the first and last Tuesday of each month.
For items that sell between the 1st and 15th of the month, the check will be sent the first Tuesday of the following month. For items that sell between the 16th and 31st of the month, the check will be sent out the last Tuesday of the following month.
